Our World, Our Work (OWOW) - Youth Employment Initiave

As part of the communications team behind EDC’s global campaign to launch the Our World, Our Work, I played a lead role in the development and production of a flagship video that introduced the initiative’s mission and global relevance through the stories of two young entrepreneurs in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Rwanda. More than an informational piece, the video served as a narrative anchor for the campaign, designed to spotlight real-world impact while amplifying youth voices from the regions at the heart of this work. Collaborating closely with in-country teams and EDC colleagues, I helped shape the creative direction and oversaw the production process to ensure the final piece was both strategically aligned and emotionally resonant.

The project required navigating both technical and storytelling challenges: remote coordination across time zones, multilingual communication, and the balance of organizational messaging with authentic personal narratives. I managed all technical aspects of the video, including remote directing, post-production, sound design, and final mix, crafting a polished, compelling piece that spoke to both institutional audiences and the communities EDC aimed to serve.

Premiering as the centerpiece of a major organizational event, the video has since become a signature asset for the Our World, Our Work campaign—anchoring a global, 10-year commitment to preparing young people for meaningful work and entrepreneurship in a rapidly changing world.
