AMC Sound is a consulting practice founded by Ana M. Cetina, who serves as its principal and creative lead. Originally launched in 2006 as a sound-focused studio supporting independent media and arts projects, AMC Sound has steadily evolved into a multidisciplinary consultancy offering expertise in EdTech, content strategy, and media production. Today, we work with a global network of trusted partners to create learning experiences that blend technology, storytelling, and sound with purpose and impact.

Ana M. Cetina Founder & Principal Consultant

Ana M. Cetina is a creative strategist and education technologist with nearly two decades of experience leading media-based learning initiatives across the U.S., Africa, Latin America, and Asia. Born to Colombian and Mexican parents and raised between Bogot and Nairobi, Ana brings a global, cross-cultural lens to her work, blending storytelling, strategy, and scalable design.

She began her career in sound design for film and television before moving into academia, where she later directed the Audio Technology Program at American University in Washington, DC. There, she oversaw curriculum development, led distance learning initiatives, and mentored students, further shaping her systems-driven approach to creative education.

Ana went on to serve as Director of Digital Media Production at the Education Development Center (EDC), where she led cross-functional teams and partnered with Ministries of Education to design Interactive Audio Instruction programs, mobile learning platforms, and in-country training systems that built lasting local capacity. Her work at EDC was funded by organizations such as USAID, the World Bank, the Inter-American Development Bank, the Mastercard Foundation, and Bank of America.

Today, Ana continues to lead AMC Sound, working with global organizations to design education technology solutions, content strategies, and media programs that are both effective and grounded in local realities. She is also co-founder of RootsAI, a nonprofit focused on cultural preservation and ethical AI, where she leads creative strategy and training design.

At every stage of her career, Anas work has focused on making learning more accessible, communication more meaningful, and partnerships more effective.
