"Colors of Resistance" Documentary

Ana M. Cetina served as sound supervisor for Colors of Resistance, an award-winning documentary by Areeb Zuaiter exploring themes of identity, homeland, and creative resistance through the stories of five Palestinian artists. As sound supervisor, Cetina ensured that all elements of the soundtrack—from location audio to post-production effects and final mix—came together cohesively to support the film’s emotional and narrative arc. Her oversight helped maintain consistency and clarity across varied environments and artistic voices, contributing to a polished final soundscape that honored the documentary’s deeply personal and political themes.

Colors of Resistance screened at more than 20 international festivals—including the Boston Palestine Film Festival, Docs Without Borders, and the Mediterranean Film Festival Cannes—and received numerous awards, including Best Documentary Short (London Independent Film Awards), the ARFF Globe Award (Around International Film Festival), and multiple honors from the Colorado International Activism Film Festival and Spotlight Documentary Film Awards.
